Welcome to Kirby & Lehman's Courtyard ~ A coffeeshop located in the heart of St. Joseph County, Michigan ~ Dedicated to serving our local community of family, friends, and visitors. Come and visit, enjoy a great cup of coffee and our beautiful view of the historic St. Joseph County Courthouse. Listen to the courthouse bell chime the hours and the local fire station whistle blow at noon. We have freshly made wraps and salads for you to enjoy each day for lunch, and a full menu of gourmet brewed and mixed coffees and Harney Teas. After you eat, enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and relax while you listen to music and view our historic picture gallery. You'll love the quiet, peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere so much, you'll never want to leave.
A little bit about us.... Centreville, Michigan
is the county seat of St. Joseph County. We are located in the southwestern portion of lower Michigan. Our town is small, with an approximate population of 1,500. We are in close proximity to several larger towns ~ Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, South Haven, and mid-way between Detroit and Chicago ~ small town atmosphere, but within reach of big town living - it's the best of both worlds.
Kirby & Lehman's Courtyard was started in August, 2007 by two families who wanted to create a place in the community where locals and visitors could come and enjoy a friendly, relaxing atmosphere, casual enough to wear jeans, yet elegant enough to feel pampered. Our vision was to build a coffee shop that would appeal to the young, not so young, and everyone in between. We purchased an 1863 building in Centreville to help rejuvenate the downtown and save a part of our local history. After nine months of construction and renovating, we opened for our first day of business on March 17, 2008.
